About

Hi, I’m Albert and I’m walking the same road you are.

I created Honest Diabetes Life to share real-world strategies, product insights, and mindset tools for managing Type 2 diabetes. No hype. No gimmicks. Just practical, research-backed advice from someone living with it every day.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes several years ago. Like many people, I started reading everything I could – books, articles, health blogs – trying to understand what was happening in my body and how to take control of it. I’m still on that journey today. I’m not perfect at it, but I’ve made real progress, and I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned in a way that’s honest, realistic, and actually useful.

This site exists to help you:

  • Sort through the noise and focus on what actually works
  • Find quality tools and products that make life easier
  • Build better habits without burning out
  • Reframe your thinking so you can stay consistent and confident

What You’ll Find Here

  • Straightforward content about managing life with Type 2 diabetes
  • Product comparisons and reviews to help you shop smarter
  • Mindset tools based on Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and self-concept coaching
  • Small-step strategies that meet you where you are and grow with you
  • Personal insights from someone who’s learning, experimenting, and improving alongside you

Why You Can Trust This Site

I bring a unique mix of personal experience, research skills, and coaching training to the table.

  • I live with Type 2 diabetes, so everything I share is tested in real life – not just theory.
  • I hold an MBA with a background in technology and systems thinking – I know how to research, analyze, and break down complex ideas in a clear, practical way.
  • I’m certified in Self-Concept Coaching and Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), which I use to explore how mindset and small shifts in thinking can make a big difference in health outcomes.
  • I’ve been in and around the online marketing business since 2008, so I understand the importance of transparency when recommending products or resources.

My Promise to You

I’ll only recommend tools and resources I believe in, and I’ll always be upfront about what I’m still figuring out. You’ll never find clickbait or fluff here – just real talk, solid research, and honest encouragement.

I’m not here to sell a fantasy. I’m here to share what’s working for me, what’s not, and how we can both keep moving forward.

Thanks for being here. I hope what you find on this site helps you feel more informed, more confident, and more in control of your own diabetes journey.

Let’s keep it honest, practical, and doable — together.
